Flext

Inspiration

Going to the gym and coding day and night is hard. However, some people have done it. We set out to learn how, and if we could improve on it. Research showed that social pressure is very effective in persuading humans as we are social animals.

What it does

Flext texts your friends about your workout status for the day through a text message. Your friends can then hype you up and keep you accountable, or maybe get inspired themselves!

How we built it

Users sign up on our react app which conveys users information (including pictures) to the express back-end service. This service communicates with a database to put and get information. There is an independant python script that also queries the database to send and receive workout information to send messages to your friends
