Inspiration
This year we've decided to take Xylem challenge.
What it does
In case of the flooding our application provides users with the following data:
- already flooded areas (blue)
- flooding forecast for the next hours, which areas would be potentially dangerous (pink)
- navigation paths to the 3 closest shelters, where the paths are calculated considering the flooded areas
The app also allows the users to rectify flooding data in a few taps, e.g. to report a particular street is not safe to walk anymore - this data would be considered for the next users routing.

In close collaboration with ESRI team.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the ESRI examples didn't work out of the box, luckily it all worked in the end.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We've managed to build a fully working prototype in less than 30 hours. Yay!
What we learned
None of us had experience with ArcGIS before
