Inspiration

We wanted to utilize a public dataset that represented something we were interested in.

What it does

Our webpage visualizes tree coverage data from the years 2000-2020 for the different United States.

How we built it

This project was created using repl.it so that all four of the members of the team could collaborate on the same code at the same time.

Challenges we ran into

As this is our first hackthon, we ran into a lot of issues associated with being unprepared.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we attended this hackthon and submitted a project.

What we learned

We learned more about HTML and javascript. More specifically, we learned about three.js however, we did not end up using this library in our final project.

What's next for Forest Data

We would like to fully implement the dropdown menu.

Dude. I have never seen something so beautiful ever created. The next time I walk outside, I won't feel the same about life. Life isn't as beautiful as I once thought it was. This incredibly amazing program makes me desensitized towards beauty. It's absolutely unfathomable how stunning this piece of software is. Thank you for this enlightening and soul-changing experience.

I love you guys, An Aspiring Silly Squad-mate.
