Forever Note is a flutter-based application for taking notes and conducting research in a fast, light-weight browser.

Inspiration

One of the most important things in a students life is taking notes. Notes help you keep track of valuable information so you can re-read later and get a firmer understanding of the material.

What it does

This app is a simple, lightweight, note taking app that allows you to take notes in various format like text and latex, draw, and browse the web.

How we built it

We used various flutter libraries like flutter_tex, flutter_inappwebview, anim_search_bar, sqflite.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing cloud and local storage was a challenge because we'd already implemented the app and trying to fit those two features in was a challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a full stack flutter app, with no prior knowledge in flutter or dart.

What we learned

We learned how the flutter framework, works. We learned how to use local storage, we learned how to use dart for backend, and we learned how to convert text to latex.
