ForeverFM delivers an evolving AI-powered podcast experience:

🛠️ How We Built It

Tech stack + teamwork:

  • Frontend: Next.js
  • Backend: Flask
  • AI: Groq API (text + TTS)
  • Infra: GitHub (PR flow), Discord (team sync)
  • Designed for both local + remote collaboration

⚠️ Challenges We Ran Into

  • Groq API rate limits + TTS cost made 24/7 initially infeasible until making creative optimizations
  • MacOS port 5000 conflict blocked Flask locally
  • Merge issues at 2AM led to lost files and emergency fixes

🏆 Accomplishments We're Proud Of

  • Clear role assignment from day one
  • Strong communication kept us on track
  • Built a functioning interactive AI podcast in < 24 hours
  • Designed fallback plans and stuck to our stack strengths
