Inspiration The pandemic brought with it a change in the way gadgets have become acceptable to children below the age of 18. Online classes have led to smartphones, tablets and laptops becoming prerequisites for students. With parents not being to monitor their children’s screens round the clock, concerns over the use of social media apps looms large. ‘Impossible to keep a check on what prompts appear on your children’s phone’ . Most children now have access to phones, laptops, computers or other such gadgets for longer hours every day to facilitate online learning. Random messages and prompts to join a conversation, click on a link etc., can lead to exposing young users to unnecessary and uncalled for content. We have thus come with an app called FrameUp , an online video streaming platform where It recognizes the age of the user by help of an AI algorithm and delivers the content suitable to the user's age.

What it does FrameUp is an Online Video Streaming platform where the children below the age of 18 are detected, recognized and restricted to the adult contents and are given access to their appropriate age related contents (rated PG-13), whereas adults are given access to their age contents(R rated). The age of the user is verified using CNN and classification using Deep learning techniques. Users are first recognized by their real-time age using live web camera or phone camera and then are redirected to the contents of the streaming platform with the contents suitable to the user's age. Users will not be able to access age restricted contents(R rated) if they are below 18.

How we built it We built FrameUp using HTML, CSS, JavaScript , AI models

Challenges we ran into We had issues with integrating AI models into the webpage since we had worked with only training models and websites independently but we learnt to integrate during this hackathon and successfully integrated AI model into our website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We are happy that our prototype is implemented with our desired outcomes . Age is predicted accurately for the user who is accessing the contents and the appropriate contents is shown to them.

What we learned We learned implementing AI models and integrating it into website. We also learnt to host our website.

What's next for FrameUp We are planning to implement many user stories and features to framework to make it more scalable , efficient and user-friendly helping children and parents.
