Inspiration
According to Alex Jones, there are chemicals in the water turning the fricking frogs gay. As it turns out, it's actually magic frogs with special chemicals turning each other gay!
What it does
It's a turn based card game with the objective of transforming tadpoles into each colour of frog
Explanation of the core mechanics
To assist the video we recorded, here is a basic rundown of how the game works: Funky Frogs is a turn based card game where the objective of the game is to fill your pond with coloured tadpoles. Players can lay cards to attack each other's hands or ponds, pick up more cards, gain insight into the upcoming cards in the deck, or change the dynamics of the game. Predators lurk in the deck which can spell disaster for players without blue frogs to defend.
How we built it
All the cards were designed collaboratively in Figma, with planning done on Notion
Challenges we ran into
Art is really hard to make!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
What we learned
Making card games is a lot more involved than we expected
What's next for Funky Frogs
If the project continues further we hope to make custom artwork for each card that better represents the names of each card
