Fuddy

Inspiration

As BU students, we've noticed that many people sit alone in the dining halls, and it's often times difficult to find a place to sit because many people sit alone at 4-person tables. We also know that many college students struggle with social anxiety, so we wanted to create an app that tackled both of these issues.

What it does

Our app, Fuddy (Food + Buddy) matches students to eat at the dining hall together based on where they spend most of their money, indicating shared interests. When students walk into the dining hall, they can open up our app, indicate which dining hall they have entered, and see who is sitting in the dining hall and is open to share their table.

How we built it

We built our project primarily in Figma, and began coding it using React Remix.
