Panera’s official app sucks! We wanted to build a better interface.

What it does

You can order food from Panera and other restaurants from the comfort of your terminal!

How we built it

We reverse-engineered Panera’s internal API and developed custom client software.

Challenges we ran into

We decided to write this project in Go, which was a bit of a challenge because neither of us had used Go before.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The fact that it actually works is pretty cool! It’s never guaranteed that what you’re building will work in the end when it relies on a reverse-engineered API.

What we learned

We got better at reverse-engineering and learned how to program in Go.

What's next for FYA

We want to improve the UI and to add support for more discount codes and other features.
