We envisioned a platform that could bridge the gap between small-scale vendors and their customers, especially in times when digital connections are vital. Witnessing the challenges faced by local businesses ignited our drive to create a solution that fosters community, innovation, and accessibility.
What It Does
GoLokal is a groundbreaking platform that empowers local businesses to thrive in the digital age. Vendors can effortlessly showcase their products, take orders, and connect with customers online, eliminating the need for a physical storefront. Customers, in turn, enjoy a seamless and secure shopping experience while supporting their local community.
How We Built It
Our journey involved a meticulous blend of cutting-edge technologies. From the dynamic React frontend to the robust Express backend and MongoDB database, every component was chosen with precision. The integration with the Concordium blockchain and decentralized technologies such as IPFS adds a layer of transparency and security. AWS hosting ensures reliability and scalability.
