Inspiration
Our game is inspired by the timeless allure of classic gaming, drawing inspiration from illustrious titles such as the iconic Dino Jump game by Google, the nostalgic charm of Old School Donkey Kong, and the spirit embodied in Rowdy Hack.
What it does
Our game intertwines the challenges of fighting dinosaurs with the rigorous preparation required for the SAT. By combining captivating gameplay with educational pursuits, we strive to empower students in their quest for academic excellence amidst prehistoric adversaries.
How we built it
Our construction involved a fusion of JavaScript and HTML, meticulously crafted to bring forth a seamless user experience. Additionally, we also utilized Procreate to create captivating visuals, elevating its aesthetic appeal
Challenges we ran into
Despite our earnest efforts, trying to integrate Google Cloud services into our question system proved to be a challenge that we just couldn't figure out. We also struggled to add in a title screen and a points system.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're very proud of the sprites, animation, graphics, and backgrounds.
What we learned
Through hands-on experience, we delved into the intricacies of sprite animation, deepened our understanding of JavaScript's capabilities, and honed our skills in rapid game development within a timeframe of 24 hours. This immersive learning process not only enriched our technical skills but also cultivated resilience and adaptability in the face of challenging constraints.
