Inspiration
I have 100s of notes about everything. It's difficult to keep the notes accessible since a note might belong to several projects. Found out companies have the same problem of sharing ideas and notes between team members. Currently working on company features for g2k.
What it does
good2know is your second brain ... so you can forget stuff. Unlike all the other note taking apps. It's like Twitter for your thoughts, but:
- there is no character limit
- it's private .. unless you share your entries / topics with someone
- offline support (on mobiles)
- learning feature for languages and other new skills. Repeat what you learned and get better at it.
A thought, a picture, an event .. good2know knows it all. And applies AI to suggest you tags for websites, pictures and texts you store in it. To make finding your information as easy as possible. You can also follow public topics and gain knowledge from others.
How we built it
react, node, mongodb / atlas / stitch, nginx,
Challenges we ran into
- offline first approach
- A day has only 24 hours ... we heard about the challenge last-minute
Accomplishments that we're proud of
some friends already use it already as their brain extension :-)
What we learned
Data backups are valuable
What's next for good2know
better mobile apps (offline support)
alexa and google home support for everyone (now in closed beta)
standalone macOS and windows app
logging feature
