Inspiration

In this pandemic many people lost their jobs or were forced to be quarintined. Everyone need help in some or the other way be it financially or mentally or even convinience help.

What it does

it provides an interactive platform for volunteers and help seekers to collaborate. It is a nice interactive platform includes searching through a realtime map. Volunteers can donate using a secured payment gateway within the web app

How we built it

We built it using a bunch of API from google cloud. The map and marker was made using google map API. We only take address entered by the user in the registration form so we used geocode API to get coordinates of any user and show them on the map. We used Flask to create a messaging environment where people can communicate with each-other. Designing was done using Bootstrap. Stripe payment gateway is used to facilitate a secured payment envirnoment.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges such as integrating the backend with the front end. Using API from google cloud. Integrating chat environment with front end, setting up stripe payment gateway. Accomplishments that we're proud of Despite most of us being new to programming and first time attending a hackathon, we are able to deliver an application that is functioning. We also overcame all the problems that we faced in almost all the stages of development.

What we learned

We learnt a lot from each other’s skillset. How to interact with other people. Showcasing our ideas, Time management, crisis management. Technical aspects include using google cloud and its services.

What's next for Green Angels

After adding a few AI and ML modules we are set to launch the application so that peole can actually use it. We will try to push this our universities startup incubators. We are looking forward to add finishing touches and are ready for all the potential modification o evolution that we might ought to make in future
