GREENROUTE

Inspiration

We were inspired by the theme of UXathon 2024, sustainability. We performed preliminary research regarding the amount of emissions and pollutants created by the tourism industry and sought to create a solution via a navigation app.

What it does

GREENROUTE is equal parts navigation app and travel tracker. The user would search how to get from point A to point B, and choose their method of transportation. The app would log this in the current trip and track the carbon emissions spent OR the emissions saved by choosing a cleaner alternative. Each user would have a profile with all the tracked stats and be able to share their trip information with friends.
