Inspiration

NFL sports betting is the difference between being the king or the bottom-feeder of your entire friend group. Being able to accurately predict the results of football games for NFL sports betting can be the difference between sovereignty or inferiorness.

What it does

The Guaranteed Touchdown is an application that predicts which team is most likely to win in a match-up based on their team stats, upcoming opponent, and forecasted results.

Challenges we ran into

The largest challenge was finding the ideal data set for our model. Size, scale, and the type of data were important. Afterwards, cleaning the sets was also a big challenge we had to overcome.

What's next for Guaranteed Touchdown

In the future, we hope to improve our model by continuing to increase our accuracy of predicts. We are looking to do that by adding weather and stadium features to the model. We look to improve our front-end by making it more user-friendly and displaying the predicted score of the games that is predicted from our Linear Regression Model. In addition, adding a sentiment analysis for the home team and away team to see what the public thinks about each would be a helpful analysis to add to our platform.
