  Guardian Match: Match to Connect, Click to Protect

Inspiration: We mainly gained inspiration with this when we were brainstorming problems that can be solved with both a business and cybersecurity mindset

What it does: GuardianMatch is dedicated to help small businesses improve their security system by connecting them to cybersecurity professionals who will help improve their system from cyber threats such malware, virus, or any other software vulnerability that can harm the small business and cause them to lose valuable data and revenue. This includes threats that are not software related such as social engineering: which includes phishing attacks, scam calling, and other attacks that can cause employees to unknowingly give out vital information that will allow malicious actors into important data systems. This also gives new cybersecurity professionals opportunities to look for jobs and obtain the experience necessary to further their professional careers. GuardianMatch allows for cybersecurity professionals to market nuanced skills such as: building up firewalls, creating monitoring systems, creating training regime to counter social engineering attacks, and cybersecurity risk management.

How we built it: We built a website that hacks as a network hub for small businesses and cybersecurity professionals to connect. The website was built using GoDaddy and WordPress. We used the Bloomberg Terminal, Excel, Google docs, and PowerPoint

Challenges we ran into: Website development, Business Proposal drafting, Timing and Scope, Specificity regarding certain aspects of the businesses. While we had great cooperation, the amount of work was quite heavy for the 25 hour hackathon. By the end of the 1st day, everyone was dead tired.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Building the website to match the needs of our market, Crafting a useable business proposal, originality regarding our idea. We're also proud of the fact that we worked together on the project seamlessly

What's next for Guardian Match: Funding and gaining SBA loans from the government, add additional features to the website.
