As students ourselves, we understand the frustration and stress that comes with writing essays and following MLA format. By utilizing the power of code and the latest technology, our hackathon application streamlines the essay writing process and ensures that every document is correctly formatted and cited in MLA style. We are trying to make more tools for students to have that make their lives easier. The application takes control of your keyboard and formats your document in MLA style, ensuring that every element from margins to the font is in line with the guidelines. It also utilizes the ChatGPT, to generate accurate MLA citations for your sources. The application copies citations to your clipboard, ready to be pasted into your essay. The bugs in our code and timing inconsistencies were some challenges we faced, but we overcame them with collaboration. Our accomplishment was building a hackathon application that eases the essay writing process for students. We learned the importance of persistence when facing challenges. Our ultimate goal for Hack Macros is to provide students with the best tools and resources to help them succeed in their academic pursuits.
