The inspiration for our project was the ongoing pandemic and the need to leverage data science and statistical tools to understand the world around us. In these uncertain times, a quantitative visualization as well as a one stop data centre for all things COVID-19 is of utmost importance.
What it does
We have 3 different applications available on our website. The first application lets you visualise and simulate the ongoing pandemic dynamically under varied conditions of the reproductive rate, the starting population, the incubation period and the transmission rate of COVID-19 in a particular place. The second is a Convolutional Neural Network-based binary classifier model that predicts whether or not a person has COVID-19 based on lung scans, contributing to the healthcare industry immensely. The last application available on our website is a sentiment analysis model that predicts the emotions being felt by a user.
We built it using tensorflow, keras, Google Colab and java script.
