Hackathons
What it does
Hackathon Central has the potential to make a significant impact on the Computer Science community by connecting students with hackathons and mentors around the world. The platform provides resources and tools to help students prepare for hackathons, and the project submission system allows students to showcase their skills to potential employers.
How we built it
Front-end: React or Vue.js Back-end: Node.js or Python Database: MongoDB or MySQL Cloud Platform: AWS or Google Cloud Platform Other technologies: Twilio API for SMS notifications and Stripe API for payments (if needed).
Challenges we ran into
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Hackathon Database: A database of hackathons that is constantly updated with new events. Users can search for hackathons based on location, date, and topic. Project Submission System: Once a student has participated in a hackathon, they can submit their project to the Hackathon Central platform. The project will be stored in a public database and can be searched and viewed by other users. Mentor Matching System: Hackathon Central will match students with mentors who have experience in the topic of their project. Mentors can provide guidance and feedback to students to help them improve their projects. Resources: The platform will provide resources such as coding tutorials, project ideas, and industry news to help students prepare for hackathons.
