Critix Challenge: The Citrix challenge is to create a solution to one or more challenges faced by organisations or employees that will have a positive impact on employee experience
Realized new employees won't be able to network as efficiently as their seniors with remote or hybrid roles now becoming more common in the workforce.
What it does
Almost like a professional tinder application that matches someone within the company with similar interests to potentially once a month
How we built it
We attempted to build a web-application with a html,css,js (bootstrap) front end with a node.js and postgresSQL for backend. "We attempted" are the keywords so we resorted to figma after we got stuck.
Challenges we ran into
Lack of technical knowledge on passing db data to front-end and teammates being in different timezones.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is all of our first or second hackathon!
What we learned
MLA starterkits are available, usual hackathon expectations, collaborating on code issues, and probably know how to make a full-stack app before we sign up for a hackathon.
