Inspiration
Imagine transforming every moment of waiting into an engaging experience. Instead of staring at a static loading bar, why not keep users entertained with mini-games or interactive features during loading screens? By adding these elements, you turn downtime into fun time, reducing frustration and keeping players immersed in the experience.
Let’s turn waiting time into playing time and make every second count!
What it does
Instead of users simply staring at a progress bar, they get to interact with mini-games, challenges, and dynamic content that entertain and immerse them during loading times.
- Loading bar that resets every time it reaches the end
- Brainrot content
- Scissors paper stone
- Tic Tac Toe
- Clicker with "quack sound"
- Memory game
- Flappy Bird
- Surprise Photobooth
- After 3 minutes, page will be redirected to a Rick Roll page
How we built it
We created the different games separately using HTML, CSS and Javascript, then combined them together using iframe element in HTML.
Challenges we ran into
- Compatibility issues: The formatting for the different games varied across devices.
- Collaboration: This was the first time all of us have worked on a hack project in a group setting, so we had to figure out a lot of the technical details and workflow arrangements along the way.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Revamping the loading page by providing entertainment, turning a boring and dry experience into a fun one!
What we learned
- Web design
- Frontend development
- Project Management
- API integration
- WebRTC
What's next for Load & Behold! 🎮
We believe that even in today’s minimalistic, “less is more” world, there’s room for fun. Interactive and playful loading screens add personality, enhance engagement, and make waiting time something users look forward to. It’s about breaking the mold—delivering efficiency with a side of enjoyment. Let’s transform the waiting period into an experience users will enjoy and remember, not just endure.
