Inspiration
The inspiration for creating the Hang Anround website came from a desire to connect people with similar interests and facilitate in-person meetings and events. There are some sites where we can create a group, but they are paid; they charge for creating and managing groups. If anyone is interested in forming a group, mostly students, they have to pay, and students are unable to do so. To avoid this, I created a website where you can form a group, share event information, plan events, and do a lot more for free.
What it does
You can use Hang Around to create groups to connect like-minded people in the same space, plan an event for your group and share it with others to get to know them and invite them to the event, and much more. You can register for any event; you can join different groups; you can connect with different members; you can share your thoughts. You can also plan an event on your own. This also notifies you about activities for your account or groups. If you want to contact someone, you can use the members chat option.
How I built it
I want to build this site, and it takes a lot of time to code the site, but I built the site in a very short time span using Wix. The plan for what to implement in the project was ready, so I started adding those features and connecting all these events and functions to work properly. I built each page step by step, and I used some templates that helped me build this site fast.
Challenges I ran into
The difficulties I face are in connecting each function and activity that a user will perform with those that should function properly.
Accomplishments that I'am proud of
I want to build a site for people who want to form groups without any cost, and people can get exposure by connecting with like-minded people and attending useful educational events, workshops, meetups, etc.
What I learned
using Wix how we can built website in less time.
What's next for Hang Around
This site will be useful for people. I plan to make some necessary changes if needed and launch it for the public to use this platform to form groups, host events, and get to connect with others for free, which will be helpful for everyone.
