Inspiration
The inspiration of the game came from the idea of candy crush game and fruit ninja slash game. We saw these games and we tried to derive a game that has a little bit of both games in it but gives the same feel
What it does
Candies fall from the sky and the player is meant to catch the candies while being mindful of the explosives; if the player misses a candy he looses health, if the player catches an explosive he looses health too, and if the player health is finished then the game is over. The player is given a target amount of candies to catch at each game start and if the time runs out without the player catching all the target candies then the player looses but if the player catches the complete amount of candies then the game is over and the player wins
How we built it
Research and Design - We spent a lot of time on research and Designing seeing that we want to build an interesting game, we decided to build a simple but very interesting game. Asset Creation - We spent the most amount of time searching for and creating assets for the User Interface of the game and other visual parts of the game. Development - This is actually the most crucial part of the game; we had to be intentional about the project; after developing the game we had to optimize the project in the best way we could. Packaging - At this point the game was done and we had to push it to itch.io for public testing and feedback
Challenges we ran into
Seeing that the project was spare headed by one individual , there were issues in creation of assets and they were delays due to lack of help and because of this the project does not yet meet the quality we desire though we're working on improving it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
What we learned
We learned new skills like game design, UI design and Game sound management
