Inspiration

We were inspired by the number of people who were unable to access medical resources and healthcare appointments and surgeries due to the COVID pandemic. We wanted to create a solution to solve this prevalent issue as well as go about promoting inclusivity and healthcare for all.

What it does

Allows patients to find and create appointments with local and specialized health care professionals within the patient's budget. They will also have the option of a remote appointment or In-person. To ensure everyone has access to health, we have created an online portal, where users can speak with healthcare personnel with a personal ID emailed to them after creating the appointment.

How we built it

We built this project using mainly HTML and CSS for front-end development, our back-end was done using python and flask.

Challenges we ran into

Formatting was a bit of a challenge the team ran into, another main challenge was creating the online portal for our remote users to be able to use and access.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our concept, as we all believe it solves a prevalent and current issue our society faces today.

What we learned

It was interesting to learn more about HTML as a few of us were beginners, and we also learned about creating online portals as well as a bit of Git. On the backend, we learned through a helpful youtube tutorial by pretty printed about how to implement flask_mail to send emails to recipients by creating the required fields in an HTML form and rendering the username, password, secret id, and email port through coded python functions.
