Inspiration
As a healthcare professional, I became increasingly aware of the challenges and concerns associated with traditional health care screening methods. One issue that particularly stood out to me was the risk of germ transmission that can occur during screenings, which is especially concerning in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to this, I also recognized that traditional screening methods can be time-consuming and may require additional staff to carry out effectively, which can add to the overall cost of healthcare services. I felt that there must be a more efficient and cost-effective way to conduct screenings, one that also reduced the risk of germ transmission.
This led me to explore the idea of creating a contactless way to answer health care screening questions. I was inspired by the potential benefits that such a solution could bring, including improved hygiene, reduced costs, and increased accessibility to healthcare services.
What it does
Using AI to detect and interpret gestures as a means of answering yes or no questions, or even more complex questions like "How are you doing today?", seemed like an innovative and practical solution. By utilizing technology in this way, I felt that we could create a safer and more efficient healthcare screening process, ultimately benefiting both healthcare professionals and patients alike.
