Inspiration
We’re inspired by how AI coding agents empower people to build their own projects faster and with more confidence. We wanted to create something especially useful for individuals or very small teams, helping them ship products quickly without needing a large structure behind them.
What it does
Herm.es provides MCP and provider integrations that allow users to configure their MCP-compatible apps to automatically create products, items, and other resources on the platform. With a simple base prompt, the platform understands what’s happening inside the app and can take actions on its own — such as creating discount coupons, adding order bumps, or triggering email marketing campaigns — all without manual intervention.
How we built it
We built the frontend using Vite, handled emails with Resend, used Lovable for rapid iteration, and implemented the backend with Elysia.
Challenges we ran into
A big challenge was refining the idea while building it at the same time. Deployment was also tricky, especially because our backend required a VM, which added extra complexity to the infrastructure.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of how the team handled every decision — even the bad ones — with maturity and collaboration. Despite the stress, everyone pushed through to get the demo working as well as possible. And most importantly, we had a lot of fun doing it.
What we learned
Sometimes, writing things down on paper is the best way to make decisions. We started with a very big idea, and in hindsight, a clearer initial plan would have helped the project flow more smoothly.
What's next for Herm.es
We plan to keep improving the integration experience so users can easily plug Herm.es into their own projects and spend more time focusing on what really matters.
