Inspiration

The rising cost of medical care in today's world and the unhindered march of technology evident in every aspect of our lives has made it inevitable to take first hand help in the medical field and go for a costly medical examination after that.

What it does

Flask base python chat bot designed to make diagnosing illness easier. This conversational bot is named Hi Doc and comes with in-build state-of-art machine learning algorithms to detect diagnosis from symptoms. It also allows users to contact doctors, book appointments, and ask questions with the chat bot intended to speed up this process.

How we built it

The Machine Learning is built to recognise symptoms with respect to each disease and help in predicting the probability of diseases with respect to the symptoms each person shows.

Challenges we ran into

Lack of a robust Dataset; Natural Language Processing; Information Retrieval; Unit Testing

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The prediction of diseases and that it yields a good accuracy rate.

What we learned

Using small datasets to perform large tasks.

What's next for HiDoc

Definitely an integration to the web/chrome/mozilla/UI platforms to take care of everyone all the time.
