Inspiration
The theme of the hackathon. We found an idea that relates to both the theme and encouraging healthy and active lifestyles.
What it does
Allows you to add tags to a map showing landmarks in your area.
How we built it
We collaborated using a github repo, and spent lots of time thinking of a plan and how to delegate tasks between team members. We had one person work on the database, another working on the mapping api, another working on integrating the database with the rest of the app and getting the location of the user, and another working on the interactive parts of the UI.
Challenges we ran into
An issue with the mapping API where we couldn't get the map to move to specific coordinates programmatically and another issue with linking the frontend and the database.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Collaborating as a team and all contributing our own code at the same time, maximising efficiency.
