Inspiration

Having trouble remembering key moments and faces is a struggle as old as time. As people who've thought "where do I know you from" far too many times, we needed a solution. Inspired by the way Pokemon Go keeps track of how your journey started with each of your pokemon, we aspired to do something similar.

What it does

Hokiemon Go serves as a way for users to easily access key details of any relationship. What did they look like again? How did we meet? With Hokiemon Go, answers once at the tip of your tongue are now at the tip of your fingers.

How we built it

React Native (Expo) frontend, Flask backend, MongoDB database.

Challenges we ran into

Spent a long time trying to stick Expo and MongoDB together before finally switching over to Flask.

First time React Native (and for a lot of us, first time web dev)

Compilation of overall data on a user's circle, different types of information to note (eg. location of meeting)
