Inspiration

The inspiration behind Hope is to help people who suffered Domestic Abuse and other forms of social injustice.

What it does

This platform connects Victims of abuse to the NGOs. Then NGOs can contact them to offer help.

How we built it

I built this project using React JS, Vanilla CSS, and Gitpod for development. I used the MongoDB and MongoDB atlas for storage.

Challenges we ran into

This was my first time implementing a NoSQL database in the web app. I faced many problems such as performance issues etc. Adding responsive design was little bit of difficult.

What we learned

While building this project I learned how people are suffering from different kinds of abuse they face. On the technical side, I learned concepts like different kinds of hooks from React and How to store data in the cloud using MongoDB atlas.

What's Next for Hope

• Currently, the users don't have the option to be anonymous that's the next thing on my list.
• Login feature so only registered users can use this platform
