Inspiration

Hotels receive a high volume of phone calls every day for room availability, pricing, and reservations. Front-desk staff are often overloaded, especially during peak hours, leading to missed calls, long wait times, and lost bookings. We were inspired to create an AI voice assistant that can handle these calls instantly, 24/7, while providing a smooth and professional guest experience.

What it does

HostFlow is an AI-powered voice assistant designed for hotels. It answers incoming calls, provides real-time information about room availability and prices, answers common guest questions, and can confirm reservations automatically — all through natural voice conversations.

How we built it

We built HostFlow using:

Speech-to-text for understanding guest calls

An AI conversation engine for natural dialogue

Text-to-speech for human-like voice responses

A backend connected to the hotel’s room availability and pricing system

Call flow logic to ensure uninterrupted conversations even in noisy environments

The assistant follows a structured hotel script to guarantee accuracy and professionalism.
