Huella

Inspiration

Personal experience volunteering in an animal shelter influenced the drive to promote awareness in adoption with the bonus of maintaining health.

What it does

It displays a list of current dogs that are at a shelter and need to be walked at least once a day. The user can then view a certain dogs profile which includes basic information like breed, age, and a brief description.

How we built it

First, we created the prototype using Figma. Then, we used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for the web app.

Challenges we ran into

First, we tried to implement this project using React Native but our knowledge was limited. Then, we tried to use node.js but the CSS wasn't working.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the visual aspects of Huella and hope to implement more features

What we learned

We learned a new designing tool, Figma.

What's next for Huella

We would like to add users, shelter locator, and user achievements to promote frequent walking.
