Human Library World

Inspiration

Lack of interaction with people and people getting bored to read books are the issues in gaining knowledge. So the concept of interacting with humans to gain knowledge from them inspired us to develop this project.

What it does

The Registration page gets human library's domain, available date and time for connecting and interacting with readers and store it in database. Booking page allows readers to select particular domain, see the human libraries available timing and book them. Readers can give ratings to Human Library. Human Library can see their ratings and achievements.

How we built it

We have built this web application using Python, Streamlit and Sqlite3.

Challenges we ran into

Database locking is the challenge that we face often while building application.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of developing a functional application which will be beneficial for education.

What we learned

We have learned to build a multipage web application using streamlit with python. We have learned to integrate database to application effectively.

What's next for Human Library World

The next thing for human library is creating profile for human libraries and providing video conferencing application.
