I Know Someone

Inspiration

We have always been in situations where we want to learn more about certain professional industries or careers, but don't personally know someone in the field. We would love a tool or site for connecting us with willing people to have chats and ask questions.

What it does

Connects people interested in learning more or asking questions about working in a particular industry, area, or career - with people who are willing to share their knowledge, experiences, and provide insights.

How we built it

Built with passion using Python, Figma for some design decision mockups too.

Challenges we ran into

Incentivizing those that can talk about their experiences: the key here is to either have those individuals be rewarded a prize from a pool for their contributions, or do it out of passion for free. We believe a mix of both would occur for those willing to have discussions with curious users.
