The Why? Ecosystem
Turn around your digital life. One question at a time.
In today's world, we all often find ourselves constantly distracted by apps on our phones or websites that demand our constant attention. We present a solution that will help you navigate around those distractions, helping you be more productive and open to the real world around you!
Our Chrome extension and Android launcher force you to reflect on a simple question (Why?) every time you open a potentially distracting app or website, like Facebook or Reddit. It also saves your responses in the cloud, so that you can reflect upon them, and analyses them with a natural language processing to provide simple feedback based on the tone of the user's replies.
We have built an authentication system that works across platforms, so that the responses from both Android and Chrome are aggregated in a single database for the user's convenience and accessible through an elegant, easy to use web interface.
With many convenient features, like selecting which websites should present the user with the Why? dialog, timers that limit the number of questions, and most features one would expect from a solid Android launcher, our ecosystem could hopefully become a useful tool for many people who are in need of assistance when it comes to their time management.
So next time you open Facebook for the nth time today, or go watch cat videos on YouTube for just a few minutes, let us ask you the simple question: "Why?" It may well make your life just a little bit better.
