Inspiration

My inspiration was from a coworker who was talking about accountability partner and how that important it was. Therefore, I choose to utilize AI to achieve this.

What it does

It is a chatbot that asks you for you motivations and goals for this project. Adding a checkin date is optional to keep up the progress of the progress.

How I built it

I used AI studios to slowly build and iterate over it to the point that I would like it to. I then went on to download it locally to improve upon it. I used gemini cli and conductor to create complex plans and execute them for me.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge that I ran into was using the copy of AI studios to link it to my backend. I used Gemini CLI to convert the constants into something that can be used by various users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am really proud that the UI is very minimalistic and was something that I envisioned with the colors. I am proud of the ability to add a tasks and focus upon it whist still chating with the AI model and the fact that the model has the context to the tasks and their descriptions. Also being able to change the AI models personality, based on the user selection is a really nice feature. There are the biggest accomplishments that I am proud of.

What we learned

I learned that I can quickly design a UI using AI and then for some complex logic, I can technically load it off to AI (Gemini Cli). However, my app shines above all the rest where it is able to help users stay accountable and continue on builting their dreams and getting closer to their goals.

What's next for ICaptain

I am currently integrating the frontend to a backend to store the tasks of users, and to make it into a working MVP that anyone can use.
