Inspiration 💡

I kept pondering what to do for this hackathon. I wasn't able to come up with an idea, and I felt stressed. So I decided to work on idea generation as an Idea. So that hackers don't have to feel stressed anymore. That's how IdeaNote was born. I realized that just getting an idea won't be enough to make the idea come true. More than idea generation, mentorship and help are important. IdeaNote is a community for idea generation and making ideas come true. You can get help, mentorship, and teammates to build your project.

What it does ⚙️

IdeaNote is a community for people who have to build things either for your hackathon or school project or you name it. People will be there to help you. You can find mentors, friends, and teammates for your project. We can help each other to grow. You can write blogs, share your view in the forum, and start a new group or join a group.

How it works as a business 💸

We have three sources of income for IdeaNote

Firstly, Through workshops and events. We will be conducting workshops weekly in hybrid, offline, and online. Also, will be organizing monthly events and a grant yearly event. We will generate a major share of income through this.
Secondly, sponsorship from companies. We will be promoting and adding those company members to the IdeaNote so they can help the members.
Thirdly, Donations from users and through IdeaNote merchandise.

How we built it 🛠️

I built this with Velo and cohere. I loved the flexibility of Velo. I was able to build custom elements with suits my need with my own HTML, CSS, and JS. It is super useful. It made the development process easy and help me achieve this big thing in a short span of time. Thanks to Velo.

I would like to share how I achieved idea generation with Cohere. So I will give a big data set of subjects, topics of the subject, and project topic shown below.

       Department: Medical science
       Favorite Courses: Psychology, First aid
       Project Topic: Psychological First Aid to Children

We will be getting the Subject and the topic from the user and end the prompt like shown below. Cohere will complete the Project Topic which we will show. It works Similarly for the description too.

       Department: Computer Science
       Favorite Courses: Blockchain, Aritifical Intelligence

Challenges we ran into ⚠️

I haven't worked with custom elements before in Velo. I watched many tutorials to learn about it. Actually, the Velo has good help documents and a big community, which saved me from building in the IdeaNote.
I haven't worked with cohere before too. I thought it would be hard. Actually, it is simple yet powerful. I made idea-generation AI with Cohere.

Accomplishments that we're proud of 🧑‍💻

I learned to add custom elements in Velo which could take our project to next level.
I learned to use Cohere and got to know about it. I love it.
I loved my idea of idea generation as the idea. This is the coolest project idea I have ever worked on.

What we learned 🎓

I learned to handle things in a different way. I got to know much about Velo. This is the most powerful web builder I have ever used. I learned Cohere because of this project.

What's next for IdeaNote ⏭️

On the idea generation page, showing up the related blogs, forums, and groups to the project idea on the page. So IdeaNote members don't have to take an extra step to search.
