Inspiration
The idea began with the question: How can we use tech to improve our social-focused student groups? So we thought about a very friendly bot that will help you to find the best student groups or extra-curricular activities according to their prefferences and what they want to do or learn.
What it does
Currently, as we had never made anything with bots our proyect failed, so we only did a explanaroty website and a test with another bot plattaform just to make a prototipe of our idea.
How we built it
First, we research about how to make a bot because we did not know anything about it. Then we install node.js and botpress. But, there was a bug in botpress so any change we did didn't make any change in the bot functionality. So we procede to finish the website and make a prototipe using another platform.
Challenges we ran into
It was our first time working with bots. Also, it was the first hackaton for 2 members of the team. There was a bug with botpress so we tried to fix it or search for an alternative.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Now we know more about bots and how they work.
What we learned
A little about node.js and botpress
What's next for Ikigai bot
Now it is time to research more an start developing the bot, make that prototipe a fully functional human-like bot.
