Inspiration
Style is the reflection of inner creativity and expression of the true self with no boundaries. In Vogue lets you ignite the fashion trailblazer within you.
Imagine Jenny, a young professional who was invited to a cocktail event. She wants to look good, but some of her old dresses no longer feel flattering. She wants to try something a little new. Indecision has been stressing her out, she does not have time to think about this. Normally, Jenny would ask her friends and scan the internet for inspiration. This takes time to filter and sometimes it's not fun.
What it does
Voguey is a gateway to a cutting-edge fashion experience. Picture a world where personal style is elevated through the synergy of generative AI and unique preferences. With a simple tap, witness the magic that lies within the "magic button." Behold, as the AI-driven algorithms awaken, generating an array of spellbinding ensembles that transcend imagination. Voguey unveils a parade of inspired outfits, custom-crafted to effortlessly harmonize with a unique essence.
How we built it
Voguey boasts a backend infrastructure, featuring the renowned AWS Sagemaker Stable diffusion 2.1 model. This advanced AI model takes center stage, effortlessly transforming text into captivating visuals, infusing the world of fashion with a touch of magic. Harnessing the speed and reliability of the Lance database, Voguey effortlessly retrieves data from its vast catalog, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience. The front end of Voguey is a captivating blend of modern technologies. The dynamic duo of React and Vite creates a responsive and visually appealing user interface, setting the stage for an immersive fashion journey. Engaging with Voguey becomes second nature, thanks to the integration of ChatScope, a React library that facilitates natural language input. We planned to use Axios to have the backend and front end communicate seamlessly through Axios, enabling swift updates and ensuring a fluid user interface.

What's next for Voguey from In Vogue
Our future vision for Voguey is for it to really be YOUR trusted personal styling assistant for your everyday life -- whether it be a formal event or Friday commute to the office.
With more development time, Voguey can support things like:
- In 3-6 months, we are going to build the recommendation engine, enabling Voguey to generate a customized style; Users can upload a selfie, and Voguey makes recommendations to include colors and shapes that are flattering for you specifically.
- In 12 months, we plan to train our own models by integrating more data from the products crossing a variety of brands for matching products, styles, and suggestions; Increase confidence by annotating recommendations so users can better understand the WHY behind certain style choices.
- Monetization -- affiliate links to products that fit recommendations, charging commissions from partnering brands and, down the road, we plan to create allow-label products to fuel the further growth of In Vogue.
