Our group Aphorism created a web application that aids children with the learning process. As you will see in our Figma mock-up below, we intended to create a much bigger and sophisticated application, however as you will see, time constraints got the better of us. Despite this, we managed to create a pretty cool application. We found that while there are many user-friendly productivity apps, there are few apps that combine both productivity tools as well as the education on the art of learning to be more productive, in a way that kids aged 11+ can use and understand. So that’s what we did, we built an app that allows kids to create quick notes as well as create to-do-lists all the while educating them on how to become more productive and efficient in their studies. We explain the workings of productivity techniques such as the Pomodoro technique as well as actively engaging the users to put these techniques into action by measuring study periods with timers and actively promoting the user to take breaks.
We had hooked up a database to store users information such as their logins and work they did using our tools, but in the end time caught up to us so we decided to drop the database create a free tool for anyone in need of a quick online place to jot something down. As you'll see in the project, we tried to implement a timer but we suspect that a conflicting style is disabling the click functionality. Nevertheless enjoy!
Please have a look at the mocks designs below as we really did put a lot of work into them, cheers.
