Inspiration
Our team wanted to follow the Environmental track posed by MakeSPP, and we as a team thought about what environmental problem we wanted to face.
What it does
Infer-NO! aims to be a hub for information on forest fires around the world and to provide numerous facts and resources to help fight against forest fires.
How we built it
Our team used HTML5 and CSS to build our website.
Challenges we ran into
This was all our first hackathons and only one member had prior coding experience.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
It felt wonderful to see our vision come to life! Before this hackathon 3 of us hadn’t written a single line of code; it was great to learn a new skill and it was pretty cool that we were able to create what we envisioned.
What I learned
We learned that a hackathon is a great place to make new friends, and we were able to learn how to create a website with the guidance of a team member who had some prior experience coding.
What's next for Infer-NO!
We can guarantee this is not our last hackathon. We want to see how many more features we can implement, and how far we can take this idea.
