Inspiration

In this modern age, almost everyone owns social media, which unlocks business opportunities more than ever. People tend to avoid advertisements because they aren’t attracted to it. But, due to the increasing popularity of social media, Influencers paved a way for businesses to market their products in platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, etc. The problem is that there are no clear cut ways to hire influencers to market your product. Sometimes, you have to negotiate and make a deal with the influencer on your own, in which you could get an offer rate higher than the average. You have also to make a legal agreement on your own. Sometimes you have to deal with unprofessional influencers, and the problem keeps coming due to the lack of procedure in this industry.

What it does

Influentee is a website to connect between businesses and influencers. We make endorsement process much easier for both the business and the influencer which is done by providing core features to our customers, such as booking feature where you can book your influencer ahead of time, or you can also get influencer recommendations based on your business needs. Other than that, we also make the payment process easier and more transparent by providing you a payment service between the business and influencer.

How we built it

We built Influentee's website by using Next.js & Tailwind CSS. We also deployed the website to Vercel and linked the domain name by using the GoDaddy promotional code that was provided by MLH.

Challenges we ran into

We all met through GarudaHack's discord channel, and we initially didn't know each other. So, we had some difficulty at first dividing roles and tasks, but as time goes it become easier.

What we learned

We learnt to work in teams and also produce a great project together. We communicated as a team and went through phases of trial and error together for the past 3 days.

What's next for Influentee

We can add in more filtering options in our website, monetise our solution such that it is affordable to our users and also profitable for us.
