Inspiration

I see new portfolio emerging every day made by developers. Those are super awesome. I always wanted to build such kind of portfolio taking inspiration from them. I made a repo to collect some awesome developer portfolios for my inspiration. From there it came up with cool designs and a lively one.

What it does

It basically showcases my skills and projects I have built so far and all about myself. It also showcases various events that I have conducted in the past and some of them will be conducting in the near future.

How we built it

I used the following tech stacks and tools to build it.

  • NextJS
  • TailwindCSS
  • Particle.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Git and GitHub
  • Canva(For Graphics)
  • Figma(for UI design)
  • Visual Studio Code(for coding)

Challenges we ran into

I faced various challenges while building this project. As I'm new to Next.js, first challenge was routing and second one was hydrating code. These two were bigger ones. Also, at one point I faced issues in making the site responsive. I also struggled with colors and designs as I was unsure at first and changed them for a couple of times to satisfy myself.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud taht apart from all of these challenges, I learnt a lot on building projects using Next.js and Tailwind and finally my portfolio is up to a stable stage. I also came across various articles and stackoverflow questions which helped me to solved some major challenges. Also, I had a lot of fun while building my portfolio.

What we learned

I learnt Next.js as I used it for the first time. I also came to know about various React-libraries and also Particle.js which is an alternative and easier version of three.js.

What's next for Portfolio

Blogs from hashnode will be added in the website using GraphQl via Hashnode API.
