Inspiration
We are all students and as is normal we love food, avoid sport and want to save money and time. But what if we wanna eat a burger and have no clue how to combine our habits with our favorite burger restaurant? Exactly, find the nearest parking lot to the restaurant with the Google Assistant.
What it does
IngolstadtBot is looking for the best parking lot near your desired destination. We will promise, more Burger, less Sport.
How we built it
The best way for us was the infamous Trial and Error method. ** Try, Error, being mad, eat, sleep, repeat. **
Challenges we ran into
Building our own Webhook to be able to call external APIs (IFG Ingolstadt, Google Maps) and transforming XML-data to information we can work with.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our ParkingBot is almost able to look for the nearest parking lot to your destination.
What we learned
Coding with JavaScript, handle XML and working with DialogFlow and Google Assistant.
What's next for IngolstadtBot
Creating more Skills for the Google Assistant surrounding Ingolstadt. We thought about projects for kids and/or party people, to make Ingolstadt great again ;)
