Inspiration

Our inspiration stems from how unpredictable human driving is – from safety concerns to wasted time at traffic lights. We envisioned a solution that solves these challenges, offering a safer, more efficient, and inclusive driving experience.

What it Does

InnoDrive will revolutionize the driving landscape with autonomous technology. It eliminates the unpredictability of human behavior on the road, controls traffic flow without relying on traffic lights, and above all prioritizes safety through advanced sensors and customization options.

How We Built It

We built InnoDrive with a combination of cutting-edge technologies, including AI-driven autonomous systems, GPS tracking, and robust sensor integration. The project involved meticulous coding, hardware setup, and extensive testing to ensure a seamless driving experience. The use of libraries like OpenCV and Jetson.GPIO in the code facilitated efficient image processing, control hardware, and real-time decision-making, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Challenges We Ran Into

Developing InnoDrive was hard as we got the hardware done. The circuiting of the hardware was a big challenge for all of us and took most of our time and effort.

Accomplishments That We're Proud Of

We’re proud of finalizing the complexity of the hardware and the code of the project.

What We Learned

This experience taught us just how important it is to have good team collaboration, it also taught us the limit of the human brain. The most important thing we learned is how to manage time as we spent a lot of time on hardware configuration, working in a team as we divided the tasks and accomplished them side by side, and being dedicated throughout the journey of getting the whole thing done.

What's Next for InnoDrive

The roadmap for InnoDrive involves an extensive focus on coding, with plans to refine and enhance the hardware prototype based on feedback from developers. An addition to the project would be including another camera module within the vehicle cabin. This module will be monitoring driver reactions, enabling the system to detect signs of drowsiness or sleepiness based on facial gestures.
