Inspiration

The underrepresented demographic of the disabled population inspired our team. Some cannot enjoy not only technology but also everyday tasks, which now require technology. Advances in technology require human interactions that lean more towards individuals with little to no physical or mental deficits. This is unfair for this particular group. After watching the workshop on building an AI agent chatbot, we came up with this idea to put our skills to the test to shed light on the situation.

What it does

Our interpreter AI agent bot asks the individual if they may need assistance with anything they may have trouble with. In the real world, it would notify a nurse or anyone who assists with care.

How we built it

We implemented the ChatGPT AI assistant to get step-by-step instructions on how to start building the app. We have also done research on one of the disabilities, which is autism spectrum disorder. We also implemented YouTube tutorials, such asthe freecodecamp channel on learning accessibility and other channels on how to build our first AI agent bot. We have even gotten support from faculty and staff.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenges was importing certain libraries like openai to use

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We accomplished finishing the app despite not being highly skilled in the subject of ML
