InterVue

It's harder than ever to land an internship for college students like us. We apply to 100s of internships and jobs every semester, and we only get so many interviews. What's worse is, no matter how good we thought we would do when we got to the interviews, we never seemed to be good enough. So we decided to fix that.

Our platform gives users the ability to participate in a mock interview for any position at any company they'd like to practice for. An AI-powered avatar asks questions about the role and the platform grades the candidate's responses based on demeanor, response quality, and various other factors. In a final report, this is all detailed along with recommendations on how to improve.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was integrating our code to work with each other's code, we originally were going into each others code and updating it with our program we had written but then we learned how to use git branches and pull requests. Doing this we were able save a lot of time and also learned how merge & pull requests work with conflicts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Even though InterVue is great, it has room for improvement. From offering free use for college students to integrating with job search platforms, there are many ways with which we can change the recruiting industry..
