Inspiration

This app was developed as an accompanying app for a wearable device: the iNTUiTH. The goal of the iNTUiTH is to act as a portable safety, alerting device that helps detects potential risks during low-lighting conditions to increase peripheral awareness and eliminate blindspots.

What it does

This app is supposed to translate and relay data gathered by the iNTUiTH device--which consists of a thermal camera and Arduino setup.

It acts as a visual interface for the wearable device, displaying the camera feed, and it provides the user with feature-control to dictate the interaction between the user and the iNTUiTH such as notification settings values.

How we built it

The prototype is built in Figma while the application was attempted in Android Studios using Java.

Challenges we ran into

Git merge conflicts! Our team does not come from a software background and is inexperienced in working with both Git and Android Studios, which led to multiple hiccups sorting through versioning controls and Git.

Accomplishments and Learnings

Although incomplete, our team is proud to have attempted a physical app build. Coming from our zero-knowledge background, learning to work with Android Studios and Git is already a small win for us!

Additionally, we're extremely proud of assembling our app prototype in Figma, it was equally parts fun and exciting!

What's next for iNTUiTH App

Taking it in small chunks at a time, we hope to implement a full build of the physical app using Android Studios!
