At InvestEDU, our mission is to empower college students with the knowledge and resources they need to start investing in their financial future. We aim to break down the barriers that often prevent young people from taking control of their finances and encourage them to make informed investment decisions.

What it does

InvestEDU is a web platform designed to provide college students with the tools and information necessary to embark on their investment journey. The platform offers the following features:

Educational Resources: InvestEDU provides a comprehensive library of educational content, including articles, videos, and interactive tutorials, to help students understand the basics of investing.
Risk Assessment: Users can assess their risk tolerance through quizzes and interactive tools, enabling them to make investment choices aligned with their financial goals and comfort level.
Portfolio Management: The platform offers a virtual portfolio management tool where students can practice building and managing investment portfolios in a risk-free environment.
Expert Guidance: InvestEDU connects students with financial experts and advisors who can provide guidance and answer investment-related questions.
Community: The platform fosters a community of like-minded students, allowing them to share insights, experiences, and investment strategies.

How we built it

InvestEDU was built using a variety of technologies, including:

Frontend: We used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create the user interface and interactive components.
Backend: Our backend will be powered by Node.js, Express, and MongoDB, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.
Hosting: The platform will be hosted on a Google cloud platform, providing scalability and reliability.
External APIs: We will integrat financial data APIs to provide real-time market information.

Challenges we ran into

During the development of InvestEDU, we faced several challenges. Some of the potential and main challanges will be integrating real-time market data, ensuring data security, and building a user-friendly interface were some of the obstacles we had to overcome. Additionally, creating effective educational content that appeals to college students was a significant challenge.
