Who are we: Chirag Sharma, Shubh Trivedi, Sourin Paturi and Jeffrey Awuku-Boateng. We are all undergraduate Computer Science majors at UGA.

Our Vision: We designed this application in the hope of redefining the way democracy works in our nation. We are striving to not only make the people more aware of the policies that affect them, but also inflate their voices and let them have a direct say drafting and popularizing legislature.

Why we did it: Do you ever feel like you are living in a society where your leaders don’t heed what you want? Passing laws and regulations that you feel you didn't even know was on the cards? We get it, and that is why we have created this application. We want the people to be able to draft legislation that matters to them. We want people to connect directly with their representatives, embodying the true essence of democracy. The reason for this goes further. We are trying to create a platform solely for social issues, so now you won't be annoyed when your instagram or twitter feed is filled with posts about social and political issues.

How it works: Social media for social issues. The first thing you will have to do, like in any other social media app, is to register and log in. Once you are in the home page, you will notice some tabs on the left sidebar. If you click on “news”, it will redirect you to the news page that provides you with the latest news on what's going on in the political world so you don't miss a thing. Another tab we have is the “petition” tab. Using this the user can write a petition, sign an already existing petition, and share their thoughts with like minded people. The user can directly type up certain legislation that they really want passed on the home page, or simply share a picture or their thoughts with their connections. If that post gains traction and receives a lot of likes, we will send an email and message to the user's local representative. This way if a lot of people want something to be implemented, they can do so by getting INVOLVD.

What we used: We coded this application on Visual Studio Code using the programming language React.js. The entire frontend of the app was coded by us. For the backend we used firebase and had it store as well as authenticate user information when they register or sign in.

P.S: Since we used React, which is by Facebook, our app title on a web browser says Facebook.
